Calming Banana Bark

I’m sure you’ve seen all of the healthy bark recipes going around the internet from date bark to strawberry bark, and my personal favorite, banana bark. I wanted to throw a little Just Thrive twist on this recipe and add in Just Calm for the perfect post dinner treat.

This is such an easy and healthy dessert to quickly whip up. I love having it on hand in my freezer for when I want a little something sweet after lunch or dinner. The best part is that you could eat just a piece or the whole thing without any guilt and all the health benefits.

  • Banana - rich in potassium, supports gut health
  • Almond butter - healthy fat to help regulate blood sugar and rich in vitamin E
  • Dark chocolate - rich in magnesium and minerals
  • Just Calm - helps support nervous system and stress response, manages cortisol levels
  • Flakey sea salt - rich in minerals

Calming Banana Bark

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes (freeze time)
Total time: 50 minutes
Course: Dessert
Diet: Gluten-free, vegan (if using dairy-free chocolate chips)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Slice ripe banana and place evenly on parchment paper.
  2. Spread a layer of almond butter on top.
  3. Melt chocolate chips in 30 second intervals to avoid burning.
  4. Open Just Calm capsule and pour powder into melted chocolate. Mix well.
  5. Add calming chocolate layer on top of almond butter, and garnish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
  6. Place bark in the freezer until firm.
  7. Break into pieces, and enjoy the calming bliss!
*Store in the freezer in an airtight container.


You could make a double or even triple batch of this to have in the freezer for your whole family to enjoy!

This also makes the perfect dessert to bring to parties, and you can really change up the flavor depending on if you’re using almond butter, peanut butter, or get even more fancy by adding different extracts into the chocolate for flavor (like vanilla, mint, or orange) or adding some chopped nuts on top. Have some fun with it, and make it your own!
