Interview: “The 411 on Probiotics” with Naturally Savvy

Probiotics can be confusing. Do they actually work?
According to Kiran Krishnan, Chief Scientific Officer at Just Thrive Probiotic, most consumer probiotics aren’t doing what you think (or what they say) they should be doing, even if they’ve been established in the market for 15-20 years. Krishnan reveals that science has improved dramatically since those first “established” probiotic products went on the market, making many popular products obsolete, while newer products – like Just Thrive Probiotic – are changing the way people think of (and experience) probiotics.
Krishnan explains that for a probiotic to be truly effective, it must be able to survive the gastric system (otherwise you’re just putting “dead” bacteria into your system).
Bacillus Indicus HU36®, a powerhouse probiotic strain contained in Just Thrive Probiotic, has been designed by nature to survive the harsh digestive environment, making it nature’s true probiotic, and the only probiotic strain that produces potent antioxidants right inside the intestines exactly where these antioxodants need to be absorbed. The strains in Just Thrive have been clinically proven to survive and arrive 100% alive to the GI tract, where they go to work to fight off pathogens that are attacking your body’s good bacteria, all while working to bring the good bacteria back to life. Talk about a nutrient boost!
In this interview, Krishnan also discusses leaky gut, which is a major driver of chronic illness. With leaky gut, toxins from your intestinal colonies leak through the gut lining into your bloodstream, resulting in inflammation that can be chronic and long-term. Krishnan describes how the spore probiotic strains in Just Thrive are the only strains on the market clinically proven to heal leaky gut…and they’re changing the way people understand how probiotics can dramatically impact your health.
